I finally got around to updating the ol’ portfolio. Have a look around, I’ve been working on some pretty exciting projects here at Hatch HQ. I have also put up a “Before and After” gallery highlighting some of my better re-designs. Some of the before’s are even mine! I’m like a fine wine…better with age. If your collateral needs a fresh new look, you know who to call!
Hey freelancers!
Please take this survey if you have any interest in a coworking space in downtown Louisville:
We are currently looking for a part-time, reliable freelance web PROGRAMMER that knows their stuff. Got a few jobs coming down the pike where we’ll need some help.
It would be best if you were available during the day to work in our office (BYO Laptop) at least a couple times a week. Working from home/your office is also an option, but some facetime is a good thing!
We’re a super-laid back group and have a pretty cool place to work in. If this sounds like a place you’d fit in, please email freelancer@hatchcreative.net and let us know your skills, send some examples of some sites you’ve worked on, what your rate is and try to impress us!
Must have knowledge in the following:
- CSS
- PHP
- MySQL
- Wordpress
- Joomla
- Drupal
- CiviCRM (or at least the will to learn it!)
- Web Standards
- Ping-Pong skills a plus!
Must be able to write code in your sleep (also while awake, preferably)
Lou of Loueyville.com fame was nice enough to be the guinea pig of our new “Pay What ya Feel” promotion. It was a fun project to be a part of…and she even posted the new logo to her site like 2 hours after I gave her the CD…She was pretty excited! Yay!
Go check out her new look at Loueyville.com, and be sure and subscribe to her RSS feed!
Thanks, Sir Thommy Browne!

Sure was empty when you taped this!
We had a great time last night at the Open House. We had quite a few people show up, and everyone seemed to have a great time.
Thanks to BBC for donating their great beer and to Highland Coffee for supplying their caffeinated goodness. Thanks also to everyone who came out to help us break in the new space.
Here are some photos of some of the guests with everyone’s favorite lil’ egg, Hatchie. I know I didn’t get a chance to take a photo of everyone. I’ll getcha next time.
We have signage. Come see it in person at our open house Friday!!!
Thanks to JJ at MemeTech for the quick turnaround!
This past Saturday, Hatchie was asked to help out at the Derby City Roller Girls‘ season opener. They needed a “jammer” to teach the audience how the sport of Roller Derby works. It was an honor, but after being checked by a couple roller girls (I’m looking at you, Kimmy Crippler!), I think Hatchie might have to retire from the Roller Derby already. He might get cracked.
DCRG beat the Rollergirls of Southern Indiana Saturday night 63 to 60. Yay! Hatch Creative is a proud sponsor of the DCRG. Go Team!

Frankie and I are hosting an open house here at the new studio next Friday (March 6) at 5pm. If you’re headed down to the Trolley Hop, we’re right on the path. Stop on by…
